CHAN 2018: Eagles group opponents to emerge Nov 17 .


The home based Super Eagles team will know their opponents for the 2018 African Nations Championship on November 17 when the draw holds in Rabat.

According to the Confederations of African Football (CAF), the Organizing Committee will meet in Rabat on November15, to decide on the draw proceedures.

Four cities in Morocco namely, Agadir, Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier will welcome African domestic league players at the tournament scheduled from January 12 to March 4, 2018.

The Democratic Republic of Congo, winner of the last edition in Rwanda, will not defend her title after being eliminated by her neighbor Congo.

Qualified countries includes Morocco (host),Egypt Libya, Uganda , Sudan, Cameroon and Congo.Others are; Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire,Nigeria, Angola, Namibia, Zambia.

Meanwhile, CAF has called for expression of interest for the recruitment of a firm to assess the operational readiness of Cameroon to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

During the engagement , the audit company should identify any gaps between the current status of the preparations and the hosting requirements of CAF. Cameroon was awarded the tournament in 2014.
