If the amount of Miracle’s winnings in paid vacations, assets and in-house winning were to be calculated it would amount to over N67.7million. His name is really affectively him positively.

LaLiga: We won’t give Barcelona guard of honour – Ramos

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has confirmed Real Madrid will not offer Barcelona a guard of honour at the Nou Camp as both sides clash in the La Liga next week.

Los Blancos are being urged to respect their arch-rivals when the two sides meet, after Ernesto Valverde’s side wrapped up the La Liga title against Deportivo on Sunday.

The Catalan giants gave Real Madrid a guard of honour after Bernd Schuster guided the club to the league championship back in 2008.

But it would appear Real Madrid manager, Zinedaine Zidane is planning to get revenge after the Catalan side refused to honour his side after they won the Club World Cup last year.

And Ramos has backed up his manager’s recent defiant comments.

“Coach Zidane said it and it’s set in stone. We will not give Barcelona a guard of honour next weekend.

“Don’t ask me about it, let them enjoy their title and we will focus on Bayern from now on.

“Barcelona have completed a great season and won two titles.”

Madrid are currently focusing on their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

The Spanish outfit will take a 2-1 lead into the second leg on Tuesday evening.

“We are playing almost a final tomorrow and we want our fans to be with us and carry us to a win,” Ramos added.

“When we’ve made history we’ve always had our fans by our side and tomorrow can’t be any different.”

17-Year-Old Pregnant Girl Commits Suicide In Rivers State

RESIDENTS of Apamini Anex Road in Rumuokoro community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State were shocked when they learnt that Abibatu, a teenage girl living in the neighbourhood had committed suicide.

Abibatu, who was a student of one of the secondary schools in the area, was said to have taken insecticide, which eventually choked her to death.

Sources said that the 17-year-old girl was impregnated by a yet-to-be-identified person, a development that made her parents angry at her.

Abibatu, who was chastised on Friday by her angry parents, was said to have purchased the insecticide from one of the shop owners in the neighbourhood, who were not aware of her plans to commit suicide.

A source from the area disclosed that Abibatu’s corpse was found on Saturday morning with her mouth reeking of the insecticide she had gulped.

“On Saturday morning, we woke to hear that the girl was dead. We later learnt that the girl drank mosquito killer. We also heard that the parents were angry with her because she got pregnant. She might have committed suicide because of the shame.

“We know her as a very calm person and we never knew she was capable of such act; we never knew she could take her own life in such a manner,” the source, who does not want his name mentioned said.

However, the parents of the girl could not be reached as neighbours said they (parents) were too traumatised to speak.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, told our correspondent in a telephone interview that though the matter had not been reported to the police, he was aware of the incident.

Omoni said, “I heard that the parents chased the girl out of the house after they noticed she was pregnant. But the girl went and committed suicide.

“But the parents appear to be afraid to go to the police. For now, nobody has come to report that matter. The Command is not aware because there is no complaint before us.”

See Latest Record Broken By Lionel Messi In La Liga

Lionel Messi banged in a hattrick against Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday to help Barcelona clinch their 25th La Liga title.

The five-time Ballon D’Or winner also took his tally to 32 goals in the league, one ahead of second-placed Mohamed Salah of Liverpool in the race for the Golden Shoe.

Perhaps a lesser-known record is that the 30-year-old Argentine is now the only player to have scored 30 or more La Liga goals for seven seasons.

Since hitting 30 goals for the first time in the 2009-10 season, he has also done so in the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.

Although he seemed to take his foot off the pedal in the 2013-14 season, he got back to his La Liga goalscoring best in the 2014-15, 2015-16 and now 2017-18 seasons.

Court grants interim forfeiture of Patience Jonathan’s property

A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, granted an interim forfeiture order of a property belonging to former first lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, who granted the order, held that it was to enable the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) investigate the acquisition of Ariwabai Aruera Reachout Foundation, a property liked to Mrs Jonathan.

Dimba however held that the order would elapse after 45 days.

The EFCC had filed an exparte motion seeking temporary forfeiture of some properties allegedly belonging to Ariwabai Aruera Reachout Foundation.

The properties are said to be located at plot 1758, Cadastral Zone, B06 Mabushi and Plot No.1350, Cadastral Zone, Central Business District, Abuja.

The anti-graft agency also asked the court for an order stopping any disposal, conveyance, mortgage, lease, sale or alienation or otherwise of the properties.

“An order authorizing the EFCC to appoint competent person(s)/firm to manage the asset/property listed in the schedule herein, temporarily forfeited to the Federal Government pending the conclusion of investigation.”

The agency said application was predicated on the fact that the property was a subject matter of investigation, inquiry and examination.

The judge in his ruling on the exparte motion, granted the EFCC a 45-day of grace period within which to investigate whether the property was acquired by Jonathan with proceeds of crime.

“I have carefully considered the processes filed. I have also carefully considered the arguments.

“Accordingly, a period of 45 days is accorded to the EFCC to investigate whether the properties in question were acquired with the proceeds of crime.”

The judge also dismissed the motion challenging the originating summons.

Mrs Jonathan’s counsel, Mr Mike Ozekhome (SAN), in his reaction to the court’s ruling, said it was a well considered judgment.

“We did not lose; we won,’’ he said.

“What the EFCC wanted was for the property in dispute to be attached and forfeited to the government but the court refused, instead, gave them 45 days to further investigate and prosecute if they so wish with liberty to apply for renewal,” he said

Town Bans Church Vigils Due To Rising Rates Of Early Pregnancies

Narok County a town in Kenya has banned churches from holding vigils as authorities say reports indicate churches are to blame for the rising statistics of early pregnancies among teenagers in the area.

George Natembeya, the County Commissioner, issued the ban on night prayers after finding a link between the practice and teenage pregnancies. In an interview with Citizen TV he stated that “in March 2018, 17 girls from Suswa Girls Secondary School in Narok County were found to be pregnant.”

The ban has led to mixed reactions from residents, some feel that the directive infringes on their right to worship.
Others believed the government had every right to make the ban to protect young girls.

Samuel Nganga, a resident of Nairobi said: “This is ridiculous, I don’t understand how prayers at night can be related to immorality, I think the county commissioner has done no research. Do not provoke God in Narok, it might just bounce back on you. Don’t try.”

“Narok Pastors kindly plan a ‘Kesha’ (popular word used to refer to night prayers) at the Narok stadium and invite the county commissioner. This is one of the many ways of fighting Christ, but GOD is able in fighting his wars, have an eye on this, the one who banned ‘Kesha’ prayers will not be the one to uplift the ban,” Nicholas Muendo, a resident of Machakos who spoke with Uganda Christian News.

James Ndiga said, “I started attending night prayers in my teens and have never heard people getting babies in the morning, the only place Kenyans feel more secure is in the church.

This is the second country in Kenya to announce such a ban. In 2014, Police in Malindi, a town on Malindi Bay, in southeastern Kenya banned night prayers purporting they had become avenues for extortion, according to Daily Nation.

Man reveals how he was almost beaten to death after helping his classmate

A Facebook user, Hallmark Chibuzor Paul, has narrated how he was almost beaten to death just for rendering help to a former classmate of his.

His post:

On this date 30th April 2006 I was Labelled A Ritualist in my Neighboring village out of ENVY 3 days to my Birthday!

In 2003 i met my secondary school mate who is from my neighboring village which is my father’ Maternal home, we had fun as old school boys and he now told me that he still want to go deep into electrical work and asked me to teach him, I welcomed him without thinking twice. we then started doing things together i did all in my power to teach him what i know till January 2006 he called me one morning and told me his plans to start his own electrical life, i was so happy, he further told me that he already paid for an office somewhere at st Micheal road aba, i was also happy and i opened my drawer in the office and gave him 50,000 to be managing till when things will start flowing, he then left, after few weeks he called me asking for some high tension electrical fittings to place as samples in his office i gave him bcos i want him to succeed.

I always check on him to know how he is doing, i always sublet my jobs to him, i always hook him up with jobs when am too busy with other jobs until april same year, he told me about his plans to build a house in the village , honestly i was so happy about that bcos many people knows him as my boy and when he is succeeding, my name will be going far, infact bcos of the way i worked with him, i got more 6 boys i trained free for 3 yrs each , after he told me of his plans to build a house, i asked him to see me when he is ready, few weeks later he came to the office, we discussed, i gave him 120,000 to support for water in his building , i gave this morning with my open mind, he left and came back after someday and showed me the pictures of his building foundation and later left.

I never hear from him again, i will call him , his phone will ring but he wil not pick, most of the jobs i gave him was hanged,i was so worried bcos of the jobs thinking that he got a bigger job and abandoned those ones i gave him but he is not picking calls, i asked his kid brother he told me he went to work, i relaxed my mind and start using my other boys to take care of the jobs i gave him which he has collected all thr monies.

Same April i won a contract to do his village rural electrification project, i keep asking and looking for him so that i will sublet the job to him bcos i want his name to be known in his village and for his pple to know what he can do bcos my name is already in the market but i cant find him, i now move my 3 boys to that site and we start working on the site, after 2 weeks on the site, his mother came to me one morning and asked me, Chibuzor so u ve the mind to do a job my son suppose to do if he was alive, i stood up and replied mama what did u said, she said my son will not die and u come to do what he suppose to do and go away with it. that was my ist ear to hear that something happened to him bcos his kid brother always told me he went to work, i later went back to meet his mother and she never want to see me or hear me talking. In that Village i have helped youths, i have helped old and young widows, i have helped the poor , thats when i start to ask people to know more about my friend, they said he is missing the family is looking for him.

On this date 30th April, i left my boys working in that village and went for another project, without knowing that the worst has happened. on my way back the youths of his community now blocked the road searching taxies, buses checking okada pple all to find me, as soon as they saw okada carrying me, they hit down the okada man and gripped me like a thief and the men and women in thr community Hall was jubilatin, chanting ( ONYE OGW EGO) Meaning Ritualist, i was confused and the guy i have helped most in that community was hitting me with stick, my mother’s best friend who is a widow and whom my mom instructed me to make sure i will be helpin till her children start doing something even as her ist son is my age mate poured me dirty water and spit on me, then the village head asked them to stop, i was still confused bcos i dont knw the reason for everything happening. now the village head asked the mother to come out and tell them what she reported before me so that i will know why they asked the youth to bring me dead or life.

And she said my son who served chibuzor is missing for a month, i ve searched everywhere, and went to native doctors, they called him on mirror and he told us Hallmark Chibuzor Paul has used me for ritual.

the hall start shaking with Noise again, pple spit on me, pple called me names, pple poured me dirty water, they treated me like a thief and a killer. the village head now said they will appoint few people in the community to go with them to confirm thr findings, to enable them take the next step, the woman as the person marrying her husband speaks for her husband said they dont have money to go back again and i volunteered to finance the trip to anywhere of thr choice. The husband now said they should count him out, he is not goin to anywhere, he is not a party to the accusation and the Hall went silent. i ask the vilage head if i can say a word and he permitted me.

I said if i had known his ware-about and keep silent talking of to know what happened to him, let me not see his age bcos he was 27 while i was 24, let me never knw peace but if im innocent, every hand that treated me like a thief today will never know peace, none of them or thr children will ever find 3 square-mill to eat daily in thr whole life and they all said amen. i can tel u that the most successful among them or thr children is an okada rider or motorcycle mechanic. the Village head, his wife and few other pple on his side maintained that they dont believe the accusation bcos they know my father and they know how i started bcos my source of income is verifiable to everyone within and around my village and neighboring villages

the most painful aspect of it is that few boys in thr village re doing electrical business at the same st Micheal aba but they never accused them, the missing guy is sharing office with his village boy and they never asked him of thr son, it was after the news of the way i was treated broke in town, that stories started coming out, even his parent was made to meet with the people he went out on a deal with and things fall apart but they decided to kill me and my carer out of ENVY.

This re the few reasons why i ve decided to serve humanity and to be a humanitarian bcos the Life i see today wasnt my making.
in my whole life i will never forget 2005,2006 and 2007!
Happy new week all

Nigerian Catholic Bishops meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican

Below are pictures of Nigerian Catholic bishops during their recent meeting with Pope Francis in Rome. The clergymen met with Pope Francis yesterday during the plenary session of the Ad Limina of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in the Vatican.

There are 65 Nigerian prelates in all at the meeting and among them are members of the Sacred College, Cardinal Anthony Olubunmi Okogie, Archbishop Emeritus of Lagos and Cardinal John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan, Archbishop of Abuja.

Reports have it that the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over the incessant attacks in the country. The group made the call in a statement issued by Augustine Akubeze and Camillus Umoh, its president and secretary respectively.

The clerics condemned the killing of two priests and 17 congregants by suspected herders in Benue on Tuesday .

Their statement to Buhari comes just in times as the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Northern Nigeria, Rev. Yakubu Pam, advised the Federal Government and the Northern Governor’s Forum (NGF) to halt killing of Christians in the North; before the situation degenerates into a civil war.

Rev. Pam said this, yesterday, in reaction to the murder of two Catholic bishops and 17 others, on Tuesday in Benue, and killing of 44 persons on Wednesday, also in Benue and Nasarawa states.

Pam said the senseless and ongoing killing is avoidable.

“My fear is that if the federal government and the NGF do not do something urgent, the killing of Christians in the North would degenerate one day into civil war. People are being killed on daily basis, yet, nobody has ever been arrested and nothing tangible has been done by the federal government.

“Looking at how professional the attacks are being carried out, I believe that these people are terrorists, they are Boko Haram and government, at all levels, need to respond swiftly; to curtail the menace before the people are pushed to defend themselves which will lead to civil war.”

University offers students cash for good behaviour

Newcastle University has devised a new means to get its unruly students living in residential areas to behave better, and that is by bribing them with cash.

The university, which has a reputation of being “Britain’s rowdiest university,” came up with the Best Neighbour on Campus schemes in a bid to counter the findings of a study that revealed that 10 per cent of anti-social incidents involving students took place in the city.

School authorities will reward well behaved students with £1,000 (N501,890).

Criteria for winning the cash include keeping the street clean, not smashing bottles in the street and removing the bins of neighbours as well as their own.

Already, winners have emerged, as the university announced five students living in a house as the first set of students to win the £1,000 prize.

A student from the first house to win the £1,000 prize said some of the spoils would be spent on throwing a party.

Daily Mail reports that their neighbour said they kept the area tidy and took her bin in every Tuesday.

Newcastle University said the prize would be awarded where there is “evidence of students who have shown a demonstrable commitment to being ‘good neighbours.”

Beautiful woman who welcomed baby by watching YouTube shares the interesting story (Photos)

A Virginia woman has gone viral as she made the international news headlines after she gave birth all by herself in an Istanbul hotel room by watching YouTube and using shoelaces and knives.

The woman is now said to be an internet sensation.

Tia Freeman had no idea she was pregnant until the last trimester. The type of birth control she takes made it so she didn’t have a cycle so that wasn’t an indicator for her. When she eventually found out she was pregnant, she had already planned a trip abroad and booked her ticket so she refused to let that go to waste.

However, while traveling to Istanbul, Turkey, she started cramping but had no idea it was labor. When she landed, she managed to make it to her hotel room and at this point, it became obvious she was in labour.

She watched on Youtube how to give birth and following the directions, she gave birth in her hotel bathroom, then used her shoelace to tie the umbilical cord before cutting it with a knife she carries around.

The following day, the press got wind of her unusual birthing procedure and they bombarded her with cameras and questions. People who heard her story clamored to take photos with her and her baby in Turkey and also to hear her story. She made news headlines in Turkey as a result. And when she returned to America, the media also rushed her to get her photo and story.

She has now taken to Twitter to share details of the birth of her son. He has been named Xavier Ata Freeman, though she refers to him as “my little surprise bundle of international joy”. His middle name is Turkey, a tribute to the country where he was born on March 7, 2018.

Man dies after police torture for celebrating birthday without permission

A young man identified as Glory Imarogie has reportedly died after he was arrested and allegedly tortured by policemen who arrested him on the orders of his landlord, who is a serving police officer, SP Austin Ehiziegbe.

It was gathered that the now embattled landlord had called in his colleague after he got infuriated by the action of his tenant who celebrated one of his grand daughter’s birthday without his permission.

According to The Nation, the incident was said to have taken place at Evbuomama community in Ikpoba-Okha local government area.

A fracas was said to have ensued between the landlord and his tenant when the deceased and his brothers resisted attempts to stop the birthday party.
SP Austin was said to have invited policemen from the the anti-cult unit and told his colleagues that cultists had invaded his residence to celebrate a birthday party.

Father of the deceased, a retired police officer, Mr. Joseph Imarogie, said his two sons were arrested during the birthday party of his grand-daughter because the landlord said he did give them permission.

Mr. Imarogie said his twos sons were arrested and tortured till they were granted bail but one of his sons had already taken ill.

He said Glory later died at the hospital .

According to him, “This policeman said why will my son celebrate birthday without permission. He locked the gate and brought out pistol. We begged him that we will come and see him after the party but he did not agree.

“I was at the hospital with my son and did not know about the mob action.”
A niece of the landlord, Odion Jimoh, said the deceased and his brothers dragged the gun with his uncle after a first shot was fired before the anti-cult arrested them.

The news of Glory’s death made irate youths in the community set the house ablaze on Tuesday morning.

It was the intervention by men of the Edo Fire Service that made the building not be razed even though household items were burnt.

On his part, the landlord said he was surprised when he received a call that the house has been set ablaze.

“I receive a call this morning that the boy that fought me and was granted bail was rushed to the hospital where he died. My family later called me that people have set fire on the house.”

Edo police spokesman, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident and said some persons have been arrested.

I did not snatch Adeniyi Johnson from Toyin Abraham – Actress Seyi Edun

In an interview with Stella Dimoko-Korkus, actress Seyi Edun revealed that she did not snatch her man, actor Adeniyi Johnson from fellow actress, Toyin Abraham. Reports had it that Seyi Edun was romantically linked with Adeniyi Johnson even while he was still married to Toyin Abraham and that she was the reason why their marriage crashed.

Excerpts from the interview below.

Congratulations on your marriage to your colleague and friend Niyi Johnson….but why were you denying it?

Thank you for congratulating me. Well, I never denied it. We were friends at that particular moment. As events unfolded, our friendship grew to a greater point. But now, I can categorically say that we are cool and happy together as a couple.

There are whispers that you are the reason his marriage to actress Toyin Abraham crashed,is it true?

Apparently, that is untrue. People say different things from afar, but the truth is sacred. I can count how many times I set my eyes on them together as couple or so. When I met Adeniyi, they were already separated. what is happening between ADENIYI and I is what I call destiny, whatever story that has been sold about me in that aspect I know pretty soon God will vindicate me and expose all truth.

As much as I love my man, I won’t like us to discuss further on what transpired between him and his past marriage/relationships.

Very fluent in Igbo language, people hardly know that she is a Yoruba lady.

Omotunde Adebowale David is a single mother to four beautiful children. In an interview with Azuka Ogujiuba, she spoke about her family and her divorce.

”I have four amazing kids. I have three sons and a daughter. I am single. I met a lot of people saying, ‘Oh my God, this entertainer is divorced.’ Yes, my divorce is a mutual thing. It’s nothing to fight or quarrel about. My family life is private. I will not drag the father of my children on the pages of newspapers. He doesn’t deserve that. It’s not a quarrel; we might have issues that we are dealing with personally as people. But it doesn’t mean that we now have to go and talk about each other (in the public). He’s the father of my children. I respect him for that. It is an important reason we do not talk about it (divorce) on the pages of newspapers”, she said.
