“It is in line with the spirit of Christmas that I call on all elements whose actions are opposed to what the season represents, especially, insurgents, terrorists, armed robbers, kidnappers and economic saboteurs, to retrace their steps and join people of goodwill and common humanity.

Sunday Punch reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria on Sunday reduced the withdrawal fee charged for the use of other banks’ Automated Teller Machines from N65 to N35.
The N35 ATM fee according to the CBN should be imposed on customers after the third withdrawal within one month.
The new directive is part of the major highlights of the new Guide to Bank Charges released by the CBN on Sunday.

The guidelines also pegged the Advance Payment Guarantee to a maximum of one per cent of the APG value in the first year and 0.5 per cent for subsequent years on contingent liabilities.
The CBN warned banks to ensure full compliance to the new guidelines adding that any bank that violate the provisions of the guidelines would be sanctioned.
It reads in part, “Financial Institutions are to note that any breach of the provisions of this Guide carries a penalty of N2,000,000 per infraction or as may be determined by the CBN from time to time.
” Failure to comply with CBN’s directive in respect of any infraction shall attract a further penalty of N2,000,000 daily until the directive is complied with or as may be determined by the CBN from time to time.”
Taiwo Oyebola Agbona on the throne
Taiwo Oyebola Agbona, a 23-year-old medical student, who was “chosen by oracle” to succeed her late father as king of Aaye kingdom in Ondo, says she can’t get married, pregnant while on the throne.
Prior to the passing away of J. B Agbona, the alaaye of Aaye, who died on May 4, 2017, Taiwo, the first daughter of the monarch, was chosen to ascend the throne for a period of time pending when a new king is appointed.
The young regent’s choice for the throne was also arrived at after the king makers consulted the oracle for guidance on who to replace the late king.
A regent is a person appointed to rule a kingdom because the monarch is minor, absent or incapacitated.
“After the demise of my father, the chiefs consulted the oracle and they were told that I am the one worthy to be on the throne. So, they came to consult me and ask for my consent,” she told BBC Focus on Africa.
Seemingly startled at the news, the 23-year-old asked the chiefs to give her more time to allow her brood over it.
Taiwo said she later agreed to take the offer upon discovery it was meant for a temporary time until a long-term successor is chosen by the oracle.
“I told them to give me three weeks to think about it. When they came back, I told them I am ready to succeed my father. Within those three weeks, I was thinking about a lot of things,” she said.
Taiwo Oyebola Agbona
“When my father was alive, I used to watch him interfere in so many things. Then people bring different cases on conflicts and other things to me and I will wondering how to address them. But I thank God now, I am used to it. I have been doing that for a year now and some months.
“As a regent, the person still has the responsibility of the original person on the throne, the only difference is that it is only for a while, it is not permanent. There’s no time because I will still be on the throne until they find another king worthy and if they didn’t find another person worthy to occupy that position, you will remain there. That is why there is need to find someone else.”
She further explained that her position has made her unavailable to marriage and getting pregnant.
“When you leave the throne you can do whatever you can but for now, I cannot get married while on the throne and I cannot get pregnant, so whosoever that wants to marry me will have to wait till I leave the throne,” she said.
Taiwo went on relish her experience on the throne, saying such position of authority has transformed her positively.
“Before, I am a normal person, but it has shaped me into a better person. It has also taught me how to be hardworking because you really need to be hardworking and think fast because you can be called upon anytime by your people,” she said.
The beautiful regent is a graduate from Achievers University in Owo, Ondo where she studied medical laboratory science.

Former Sudanese president, Omar Al-Bashir has been found guilty of illegally in possession of $130million (stolen of course), sentenced to two years in prison
Because he's above 70years of age, he will serve his sentence in Dar Al-Ra'aya Correctional Facility which is part of Kober Prison
Al Bashir ruled Sudan for 21 years before a revolution brought his government to an inglorious end. Before then, South Sudan gained its independence from the rest of Sudan before the Northern Sudan people then led by Bashir staged a revolution against his corrupt government to end it.
Bashir ruled Sudan with Sharia. Alcohol, drugs, sex with multiple women were Haram, stealing public funds wasn't - but the day his Presidential Palace was ransacked by Sudanese protesters, all kinds of alcohol, local and foreign were confiscated. He was an alcoholic, womaniser and a drug abuser.
