No Landlord Can Enforce Payment Of Outstanding Bill On New Tenant – NERC
Do you have any idea how painful it is when you move into a new apartment and you are forced to incurr the electricity bills of the old tenants? I bet you can relate. It's been a highly common trend in local areas where tenants would one way or another by pass/wave electricity bills, tip the Nepa officials, thereby allowing them to accumulate the debt.
The new tenant moves in and is made to pay through their nose, endure the constant harrasment from the Nepa officials, and also at the end of the day, join the trend of tipping/bribing; Meanwhile, the bills continue to pile up.
With this new development, I'm pretty sure that home owners/landlords would learn to see to it that every of their tenants sort their electricity bills completely and in time. But first, my landlord and I have to talk.
