Ronaldo: "WC 2022 Would be My Last"

Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he'll be bringing to and end what has been a tremendous journey with the national team.

Cristiano made his debut for the Portugal national team at the age of 18 and has since gone to make 166 appearances for the national team.

Speaking to beIN sports today, he has all but confirmed that he'll be retiring from the national team in a career that saw him lifted Portugal major and only silverware.

In his words: "I expect Qatar could be my final World Cup. I often go on holidays there, to Qatar as well as Dubai. I am happy because for sure it will be last international tournament."
