Sanwo-Olu Launches Nigeria's First Full Electric Car

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday unveiled what has been described as the first full electric car to be assembled in Nigeria.

The car, a product of the Stallion Group Automobile has zero emission and can be charged both at home and workplace. 

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the vehicle, when fully charged for 9hours, 35mins, would travel a distance of 482Kilometres, which is the equivalent of Lagos to Warri, Delta State, before it would require charging again.

Sanwo-Olu while speaking at the event said the innovation would bring about less dependence on petrol and it's hassles.

In his words, "with an innovation of Hyundai Kona, we do not need to put the pressure on what is the pump price of oil again, what is the pump price of petroleum again.

"All the issues and fights that we are having about prices of petroleum going up and the rest of it will be a thing of the past.

"For us, we see a renowned hope, for us we see a tomorrow coming today, for us we see and believe in the Stallion dream,” the governor concluded
